About Speakers

Dr. Ian McCulloh

Manager of Artificial Intelligence Continuing and Executive Education, Johns Hopkins University

Dr. Ian McCulloh leads the Artificial Intelligence portfolio for Johns Hopkins Engineering Executive and Professional Education. His research integrates AI, neuroscience, and human behavior to create scalable systems that expand access to products, services, and healthcare. He previously served as Accenture’s Chief Data Scientist, where he built and led a 1,200-member Federal AI practice delivering advanced solutions across the U.S. Government. Dr. McCulloh holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Anthony (Tony) Johnson

Sr. Professional Staff Member & Research Scientist, APL, Johns Hopkins University

Dr. Anthony Johnson is a research scientist at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), leading work in AI, robotics, data science, and advanced computing for national security. He also serves as Program Manager at the Whiting School of Engineering, overseeing programs that develop future technology leaders. Previously, he was Assistant Dean for Research and Director of two research centers. With 20+ years of experience in computational analysis and scientific leadership, Dr. Johnson earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School.
